Smyrna is known as the “Jonquil City”, because of the thousands of jonquil flowers that bloom during the Spring. With its location being Northwest of Atlanta, it was voted by Atlanta Magazine as one of the top 10 places to live in the Atlanta area. Smyrna has developed a reputation for smart growth and was awarded the Urban Land Institute’s Award for Excellence. Smyrna continues to serve its citizens well and with integrity.
